A few quotes from our visitors
“We had a lovely time, loved the location and the site. The horse trek route we ran was a bonus, don’t think we would have found a route like that on our own. Pretty sure we will be back, when it is not so hot! Thank you for a lovely stay.”
“The warm welcome by Sarah, including a tour of her stables. A beautiful view in a peaceful and tranquil spot. A great pub is within walking distance. Definitely one we’ll return to and recommend to friends and family.”
“We only did one night as this was a half way stop for us. Sarah was super helpful and inviting. I told Sarah that my daughter loves horses, so she was kind enough to show us and even gave the kids horse shoes!! Kids where over the moon. Great views and super quiet. Would definitely stay again.”
“Remote, friendly staff, excellent communication, peaceful and spacious.”
“Peaceful and tidy with nice space between pitches with a friendly and informative host. Great place to just escape and enjoy nature. Walks nearby and a couple of good pubs!”
“Loved our stay here, our first trip to motorhoming. Sarah was so helpful and friendly from start to finish with directions once she had our details. When we arrived she was there with a welcoming smile, making sure we had all we needed and even ended up lending us a cable so we could reach the electrics. The site was peaceful not overcrowded with beautiful views, with horses grazing on the side of the hill in view which suited us. So thank you Sarah x”
“Fantastic host who was welcoming, kind, and generous beyond our expectations. - Peaceful, safe environment where our child and dog could be ‘free range’ without us worrying. - Fantastic views across the rolling countryside and close proximity to points of interest - We were also given an impromptu visit to the horses on the farm, an experience our child hadn’t had before (as a city kid), and hasn’t stopped talking about since. - Worth every penny and we look forward to returning!”
“Just wanted to say thank you. Such a beautiful, relaxing site, I don’t think I’ve ever slept so well. Best wishes to you and love to Rambo. We will be back :)”
“A truly lovely back to basics campsite. So peaceful and well maintained. Generous sized pitches and Sarah the owner is so friendly and welcoming. We had a beautiful shady spot under a tree which was perfect for the morning and evening sun but kept the tent cool in the midday heat. Central drinking water tap and good location for walks and exploring. Good signal for phone data for sat nav etc.”
“Superb value, peaceful location on a well kept farm, great hosts, easy to find with good access. Basic but superb location.”
“Absolutely loved this site. Sarah is friendly, responsive and helpful. The site is peaceful, has beautiful views and walks straight from the field. Plenty of space to choose where to set up. Just what we were looking for. Will 100% return.”
“Thank you very much, we had a lovely time. Hope to return soon. Regards :)”
“Having fun watching a hare chase magpies while sipping my coffee - bliss :) Thank you”
“It’s an absolutely beautiful place.”
“Thank you for welcoming us, especially since we came so late last night we had a really lovely evening and as you can tell, we’ve been lingering a little bit! We’ll be coming back through around the 12th and might check back in with you then. Five stars for your location!”
“Everything - beautiful, peaceful site with loads of space. A real escape. We were lucky enough to have a tour of the stables and meet the beautiful horses too. What a treat!”
“Just a quick email to say how much we enjoyed our last five days with you. We loved the farm and its surroundings and enjoyed Marlborough, Hungerford and Newbury and walked 30 miles too along the canals and rivers.”
“..just wanted to say thank you for a lovely stay. We are planning to come again in late June...”
“We spent 3 weekends at this site. This is the perfect site for a quiet get away. Sarah was very welcoming and very helpful, would certainly stay again and recommend to others. Thank you Sarah, hope to see you again soon.”
“My wife and I have been out of the Caravanning game for nearly 25 years and we wanted to get back into it. So we picked up our new caravan on the Friday and wanted to test it out. It was only a stones throw from where we lived and was ideal for us. The site is isolated and very much the kind of site we like. Sarah was brilliant. We called her when we arrived and she met us at the campsite entrance. Sarah was very warm and approachable on what was evidentially a busy stable yard and farm. The one thing which struck us was how big and black the sky was. Something we missed camping. This is a great site if you’re travelling from the north and looking for a stop over on the way south, or a site for a cheeky weekend away. Marlborough up the road and the walks are breathtaking which is indicative of rural Wiltshire. I might be a little biased! But it is one of the prettiest counties. And Saversnake forest is simply beautiful what ever the season you visit.”
“We have had such a lovely weekend and so great to get us altogether, thank you! ....Thank you again for a fantastic time.”
“Thanks for the stay. Was lovely... Thank you...”
“Excellent location, peaceful with great walking!”
“Great location for walking and very quiet site. The owner of the farm was very friendly showing us around the farm and meeting the horses.”
“What a pleasant and opulent place to stay, Driving down the drive to what looks like a yellow brick road, we were then greeted by Sarah and Rambo, friendly and welcoming I knew we was in for a great stay, after setting up we were taken back by the amazing views and the sounds of pheasants, horses and all sorts of wild birds - our kids loved the space and the freedom theres room for 20 odd pitches but there was only a few of us we felt so relaxed and free, Sarah was kind enough to take the time to offer us a tour of the stables to meet all the horses - what a fantastic experience this was my kids thoroughly enjoyed it including my wife, now my daughter wants riding lessons and allready wants to come come, Will definitely be booking stsying here again this place is a gem and a must.”
“Thank you so much for providing such a lovely space to spend the weekend! I did follow most of the walks and did indeed see the beam engines under steam, and the Windmill. The site is beautiful and full of wildlife, I shall mention my stay to my friends! Thank you”
